Pilot Officer S.J. Juszczak of No 303 (Polish) Squadron was flying Supermarine Spitfire X4065 on a routine training flight, it was during this flight that Pilot Officer Juszczak lost control of his aircraft when his cockpit froze over in cloud, and dived into the Irish Sea some 3 miles from Prestatyn. His body was not recovered and was missing presumed drowned.
Pilot Officer Juszczak who was born on the 27th September 1918 and was a Graduate of Polish Airforce School in Deblin (13th year). He was promoted to the rank of Pilot Officer on the 1st September 1939 and was posted to No 303 (Polish) Squadron at Northolt on the 11th August 1941. Pilot Officer Juszczak held the Polish Cross of Valour and operational pilots wings.
